LTP in slices

   Hi everyone. This is the first time I write and it´s to ask a question, but I hope I can later participate in more debates. Well, my question is related with LTP is slices. I want to characterize some mice both the E-LTP and the L-LTP (for that I apply 1 or 4 tetanus of 100 Hz and 1 s each, respectively). Fine; it happens that when I give 1 tetanus (that should create only E-LTP) it many times creates L-LTP and of course that could be part of the experiment.. but it also appears in the control group and I´m not completely sure... I think something might be affecting. I check for spontaneous activity just in case it serves as a tetanus itself, but they don´t have it.
