About me: I'm a (young) forty-something father and aspiring neuroscience student. I have graduated from Pacific University with a Psychology B.S. but need to work for some time to come before my family can afford my undertaking graduate school. I have also been an avid--although amateur--open water swimmer since the summer of 2000, where I began swimming in the rivers of Seaside and Astoria. My interest in neuroscience stems from this very activity and my resulting observations of the potential for brain cooling to not only protect but enhance some aspects of brain (and body) neurophysiology.
