Hi, maybe this is a very basic question but i'm confused. If myelin inhibits axon uncontrolled growth, why amyelinic fibers in the CNS don't sprout? I know that in the PNS the amyelinic fibers are surrounded by a "special" Schwann cell, but what about the CNS?

I hope someone can help me....
