I am an undergraduate who has an associate's degree in computer science engineering and am a year away from getting a bachelor's in molecular and cellular biology.

I am having a hard time deciding which field to go into. Currently, I am thinking about going into bioinformatics since it seems like a broader category than computational neuroscience.

Could I get some insight or viewpoints of why some of you chose to pursue the career you did instead of another? For example, if I go into bioinformatics, do any of you think it would be possible to transition smoothly into computational neuroscience later on in my career?

Thanks!
